About Geethanjali
Established in 2004, Geethanjali has come a long way not only in terms of academic excellence but also has been showing dynamic progress in improving the facilities and research activities. Situated in Cheeryal, about 15 kms from the city, it boasts of breathtaking eco friendly infrastructure with a very student-friendly ambience keeping on par with best institutions in the country. But, that's not where it ends, our motto "Striving towards perfection" epitomizes the very nature of the campus and the management as well. The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2011with an intake of 60 students and then increased to 120 in the year 2013. Currently the department offers an under graduate program B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with an annual intake of 120 students. The department is headed by Dr. T. Siva Prasad. He has 34 years of teaching experience in various reputed institutions and 3 years of industrial experience as Design and Marketing Engineer. There are 5 Professors, 5 Associate Professorand 27 Assistant Professor in the department.

Facts about Manotron-19
Geethanjali College of Engineering and Technology proudly presents the third edition of its annual technical festival, Manotron. The Mechanical Department have been conducting critically acclaimed flagship events year on year, such as Auto Expo, robo race, technical quiz etc.Each of these events have witnessed participation from around 1500 students from colleges across India.
